I love visiting art galleries; I love the inspiration and different views you get. This gallery is on the small side, but not overcrowded at all. You get a sense of open space and natural light filling the place.
The exhibition that lured me in was That Felted Feeling. It is handcrafted textiles featuring felting by the artists of the Queensland Spinners Weavers and Textile Artists. It is a beautiful exhibition. I was amazed at versatility of the medium. Another thing I really liked was the opportunity to touch samples of the art works.
There is also a small gift shop selling not only felt articles but also ceramics, jewellery, etc. The gallery is located at 199 Gympie Road, Strathpine.
