This festival kicks off every year on Good Friday from around 9am to 4pm. A carnival atmosphere reigns on the foreshore while everybody waits for the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. There are plenty of entertainment in the form of live music, a parachuting Easter Bunny, egg hunt on the beach, sand sculptures and kite flying demonstrations.

You can choose from a variety of workshops to attend, e.g. Candle making, Arty Brella, make a boat, drumming, etc. There was a great LEGO building challenge as well as rockwall climbing and camel and pony rides.

It is a very relaxed family friendly event. Pack your own lunch or buy something from one of the food vendors.
